David Warr
David is an architect and partner in The Oxford Architects Partnership and has had an interest in computing for the construction industry since 1978, when he was active in the development of technical software and job costing software for the profession. He has been the partner in his firm with special responsibility for the strategic introduction and development of computer systems generally and CAD in particular. As Chairman of the Intergraph Construction Industries SIG, he attended 3 IGUG conferences in the US during the 1990’s and is a founder member of TMC(UK). He has been Conference Director since the Inaugural TMC Conference in January 1996 and the MicroStation Forum Conference in July 1996. His experience has provided a wide view of the development of MicroStation from Intergraph through Bentley Systems over the years. He is a ‘hands-on’ user of MicroStation, Triforma, PowerDraft and Modeler.
Lars Hesselgren
A pioneer of CAD, Lars created and chaired The MicroStation Community (UK) in 1996 following the Intergraph/Bentley split. He works extensively with Bentley and many of the features in today’s MicroStation are directly attributable to him. In 2002 Bentley awarded him the Bentley Lifetime Achievement Award. Lars co-founded the SmartGeometry group. He now leads KPF's R&D programme.
Len Greetham
CAD & systems manager Building Design Partnership. Len is an engineer with broad experience in civil and structural engineering. For ten years he managed multi-disciplined design teams on major projects with WS Atkins & Partners, including overseas assignments. Central to his fifteen years computing experience are five major CAD packages.
In 1986 he joined BDP where he supports over 100 designers of all professions using Micro-Station on a mixed network. As a programmer he has created tools to enhance the productive use of CAD. His leisure interests include music, theatre, walking, gardening and of course the BC (UKI).
Marc Thomas
Marc is IT Director of Architects Design Partnership LLP, based in Oxford. Having developed an interest in computing in architecture as a student during the early 1980's, he joined ADP in 1991 just as they were moving from RUCAPS to MicroStation and has been using it since 1992. He now juggles learning the latest about MicroStation with managing ADP's IT infrastructure.
He has been involved with BC (UKI) since 1997.
Stephen Holmes
Stephen Holmes has been working for many years as a consultant, supporting architectural and engineering practices throughout the UK and abroad. Specialising in deployment and configuration of Bentley Products and helping companies implement CAD standards and BIM solutions. Stephen is also Director of Support Services for Cadventure Ltd, a Bentley Reseller, Bentley Institute Training Centre and the only UK company, authorised by Bentley, to provide direct technical support to its clients.
