MicroStation V8 XM 8.9.4 release

MicroStation V8 XM 08.09.04.44 was released on 8 June 2007. Significant enhancements include AutoCAD 2008 DWG support, further improvements to the conceptual modelling tools and the long awaited soft shadows in ray tracing.

The Modify Solid Entity Tool has improved selection and dynamics options to increase its useability.

Soft shadows were shown by Jerry Flynn at the BE Europe MicroStation Champions session on Sunday. Unsurprisingly rendering takes longer but the results look worth the additional time.
